Terms of Service for HappyFridge AI

1. Acceptance of Terms
By downloading, installing, or using HappyFridge AI, you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. These terms constitute a legally binding agreement between you and the developers of HappyFridge AI. If you do not agree to these terms, please do not use the application.
2. Description of Service
HappyFridge AI is a productivity tool designed to help users manage food inventory. The service includes:
- AI-powered analysis of refrigerator and pantry photos
- Identification of food items and ingredients
- Automated recipe suggestions and shopping list generation
- Dietary preference customization
3. Important Safety & AI Disclaimers
Please Read Carefully:
- Identification Accuracy: AI technology is probabilistic. HappyFridge AI may misidentify food items or ingredients.
- Food Safety: This app does NOT monitor food safety, freshness, or expiration dates. Always use your own senses (sight, smell, touch) to verify food quality before consumption.
- Medical/Nutritional Advice: HappyFridge AI is not a medical professional. Suggested recipes or dietary insights are for informational purposes only and do not replace professional nutritional or medical advice.
- Allergies: The AI may not identify all allergens in an item. Always check physical packaging for allergen information.
4. Free vs. Premium Tiers
Free Tier
- Up to 3 AI analyses per month
- Standard cloud-based processing
- Subject to general usage limits and availability
Premium Tier (Subscription)
- Unlimited cloud-based analyses
- Priority processing and advanced features
- Managed exclusively through the Apple App Store
- Auto-renews unless cancelled at least 24 hours before the end of the current period
5. Subscriptions and Payments
All financial transactions are handled via the Apple App Store. Payments will be charged to your Apple ID account at confirmation of purchase. You can manage and cancel your subscriptions in your iPhone Settings → Apple ID → Subscriptions.
Note: No refunds are provided for the unused portion of a subscription period.
6. Acceptable Use
You agree to use HappyFridge AI only for lawful purposes. You shall not:
- Attempt to reverse engineer, decompile, or extract the source code of the app.
- Abuse the AI service through automated scripts or excessive manual requests.
- Upload images that are illegal, offensive, or infringe on the privacy of others.
7. Limitation of Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, HappyFridge AI is provided "AS IS" and "AS AVAILABLE." We shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages (including, but not limited to, food poisoning, allergic reactions, or data loss) arising out of your use of the service. Our total liability is limited to the amount paid by you for the service in the last 12 months.
8. Privacy
We take your privacy seriously. All photo analysis is conducted according to our Privacy Policy. By using the app, you consent to the collection and use of data as outlined in that policy.
